Creating a new versatile brand for an international motorcycle racer

Close To Water was asked to create a suite of identities for the English motorcycle racer Leon Haslam. The challenge was to bring consistency to the brand while conforming to the strict racing regulations.

Due to racing regulations and Leon’s international fan base a number of different solutions were created that incorporated his race number 91 and adopted devil and angel theme. Incorporating these 2 elements in the designs means brand recognition and brand consistency can be established no matter where in the world or on what medium the various graphics are displayed.

The final identities are used across a wide range of mediums including:

  • Racing bike decals
  • Racing leathers
  • Branded merchandise
  • Digital communications
  • Digital campaigns and engagement
